GETTING READY TO RESTART A CAREER IN THE OFFICE
Our 10-month, full-time "Office-Assistant" program is designed for job-seeking women who want to enter the secretarial, administrative, or accounting fields.
Contents of the course
- MS Office and IT: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint - from the basics to advanced applications
- Digital learning and working: modern office organization, efficient workflows and the use of artificial intelligence
- Communication & Languages: Communication training and business correspondence in French, German, English and Luxembourgish
- Business & Accounting: Business basics, payroll and accounting (with BOB50) and marketing
- Skills & Career Check: personal strengths profile, career planning and job application training
Hands-on learning
A five-week internship in a Luxembourg company allows you to put your new skills into practice and make valuable contacts.
Personalized support
In order to identify and make the most of one's own strengths, an individual educational and professional biography is worked on together. In addition, intensive preparation for the job search and application process takes place.
Organizational Details
- Frequency: Once a year
- Start of training: Mid-January
- End of training: Mid-October
- Duration: 28 hours per week in Esch/Alzette or from home, plus self-study time after class
- Location: Zarabina asbl in Esch/Alzette
- Prerequisites: Good knowledge of French, German and Luxembourgish; registration with ADEM; English and previous experience in administrative work are an advantage.
Registration & Information Session
Interested candidates who are registered with ADEM and would like to participate in the training can request an invitation to an information session from their ADEM counselor. This usually takes place once in November or December.
At the information session, attendees will meet the trainers and receive information about the content of the training, the process and our working methods. Those who are interested in participating in the training can put their name on a list for an individual interview.
Completion & Recognition
The training is supported by the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth.
The certificate is officially recognized.
The training programme takes place once a year, begins in mid-January and ends in mid-October, with 28 hours of teaching per week. After the selection process, an introductory day for the participants takes place in November/December.
